Getting Started
04MusterBox is the ecosystem around the games — not the game itself. Player identity, squads, tournaments, progression, rewards and game integration all connect into one competitive platform for players, organizers and developers.
Anyone who plays, organizes events or builds games. You do not need to be a professional — MusterBox supports players from a first tournament through a full competitive season, plus the organizers and developers who run the ecosystem around them.
Creating an account is the first step of joining. One account carries your identity across the platform — profile, squads, tournament entries, progression and rewards — so the same identity follows you from game to game.
MusterBox is web-first: browse the games catalog, tournament listings and squads in your browser, and connect to supported titles through the SDK so competition follows you beyond the website.
Players
05Your profile is your competitive identity: it carries your name and avatar alongside your match history, rank and standing. Profile information is edited from your own profile and account settings.
Connections are the competitive links you build across the platform — teammates, rivals, squads and communities you engage with through matches and streams. Together they form who you play with and against.
Streams are live sessions where players showcase matches and competition. They are one of the ways the platform stays social — alongside squads, communities and the results you share from tournaments.
You meet players through squads, tournaments and the communities around games. Profiles carry rank and standing, so it is easier to find teammates and opponents at your level.
Progression runs XP → Ranks → Challenges → Rewards. Performance earns XP, XP settles into ranks that reflect competition, Challenges set goals, and Rewards recognize the results — feeding your wallet layer where prizes apply.
Games
04Browse the MusterBox games catalog — premium and community titles with tournaments, squads and progression around them.
Genres let you filter the catalog to the titles you actually play and surface the tournaments and squads running around them.
MusterBox is the ecosystem around the games — not the game itself. Supported titles connect through the SDK, so you still play the game itself while MusterBox carries identity, progression and competition around it.
Formats are defined per title and per event. A tournament specifies its supported formats up front, so the bracket rounds and match rules are clear before you register.
Tournaments
10A tournament runs a full cycle on the platform: registration, bracket generation, check-in, matches and results. The organizer configures the event and the platform carries the match flow and final standings.
Open a tournament, review its requirements and select Join. If the tournament has an entry fee or a check-in requirement, you will see it before registration is confirmed.
Tournament Hub →It depends on the event. Some tournaments are free and others carry an entry requirement — whatever applies is shown before you confirm registration, so you never join blind.
Brackets are generated from the registered field once an event closes registration. The organizer publishes the bracket ahead of the first match window, with seeds based on the event configuration.
Your upcoming matches sit on the tournament schedule and match list once you are registered. Check the round window so you know exactly when you are expected to play.
Check-in confirms you are present for your match window. Tournaments that require it say so ahead of registration, and the check-in window is shown on the tournament page.
Winners come out of the match flow — results are recorded as rounds complete, brackets advance, and the final standings are published on the tournament page when the event concludes.
A participant who does not appear for a scheduled match takes a loss or is withdrawn from the bracket, per the event rules the organizer published before registration.
Events can be open to squads, letting a unit register as a team. Whether a specific tournament accepts squad entries is stated in its registration details.
Standings and results live on the tournament page as rounds complete. Brackets, schedules and standings are published per event, so the source of truth is always the tournament itself.
Organizers
05Organizers are the event operators on the platform — a role separate from taking part in matches. Anyone operating an event on MusterBox works through the Organizer platform.
Organizers create tournaments, manage registration, coordinate participants, operate match flow and deliver results — all from one platform.
Yes — organizers configure how the bracket is generated and operate it through the match flow as rounds complete and results are recorded.
Private events and prize pools are event configuration on the platform. Options available for a given event are shown in the tournament setup where they are enabled.
Organizer capabilities are part of the Organizer platform. Whether a plan applies depends on the current offering — check the Organizer page for what is available today.

Squads
04Squads and Clans are distinct structures. Squads are competitive units with their own identity, roster and standing; Clans are the wider competitive structures within communities — teams, clans and the communities around them play different roles.
Your account is centered on your identity rather than a single locked group, so you can appear across multiple squads and communities. Membership options are shown in the current app.
Squad rosters are sized by their leadership within the current platform configuration. The size an event or squad supports is visible when you set one up or join.
Clans group players into the wider community structures around competition. Where clans are part of a squad, they operate alongside it rather than being treated as the same thing.
Developers
08Studios and community developers bring titles into the ecosystem through the Dev platform. Game publishing joins the same infrastructure players, organizers and squads run on.
Developers →The MusterBox SDK is the integration layer that connects a game to the platform: player identity, telemetry events, real-time wallet streams and secure MPC-backed purchases.
The SDK brings player identity, telemetry events, a real-time wallet stream and secure MPC-backed purchases into a title, plus rank and tournament feeds so competition mechanics work inside the game.
The SDK is designed to work across every major engine. Check the Developers page for the currently supported engine versions before starting an integration.
Publishing moves a title through the platform onto the public catalog, alongside its tournaments, squads and progression. The flow and review steps are part of the Dev platform.
Games are reviewed before they appear in the public catalog. The review covers the integration so published titles present identity, events and competition cleanly.
Developer access is provided through the Dev platform. Whether subscription tiers apply depends on the current offering — see the Developers page for what is available today.
Yes. Through the SDK and platform APIs, a title can surface tournaments, ranks and rewards inside the game while the platform carries the match flow and results.
Wallet
07The wallet is the rewards and payments layer used for tournament prizes and platform transactions. It holds the value that moves through competition.
Deposits add value to your wallet for entries and purchases. The methods and assets supported are shown in the app at the time of deposit, so what is available is always current.
Withdrawals move value out of your wallet through the supported methods. Processing state and any pending status are surfaced in the wallet, where you can always see where a withdrawal stands.
The supported assets are whatever is currently enabled in the app. The wallet screen lists the live options, so check there for the current set rather than relying on a fixed list.
A withdrawal can sit pending while operations clear on the platform side. The wallet surfaces current status, so a pending entry is expected to resolve to its final state shown inline.
Purchases run through secure MPC-backed flows on the platform side, and value sits in the wallet layer rather than moving per-transaction. Always treat your credentials as the key to that value.
Where supported, display currency is set from wallet settings. Exchange-rate values follow the current platform rate, so figures can differ from the rate you see elsewhere.
Account & Security
06Use a strong, unique password and keep your sign-in details to yourself. The platform enforces session and device controls, and you can review active sessions from account settings.
Your account works across the devices you sign in from. Active sessions are visible in account settings, where you can manage them if anything looks unfamiliar.
Password reset is available from the sign-in flow — request a reset and follow the link sent to your account email to set a new one.
Verification confirms identity where a feature requires it. The requirements are shown in the app when they apply — not all accounts request the same level.
Reporting is available from user profiles through the report flow. Reports land with the platform and are handled against the Community Guidelines.
Community Guidelines →Restrictions follow from platform rules and are applied against the Community Guidelines. If your account is restricted, guidance appears on the account and you can reach the team through Contact.
